A bit of geography

Nans is a typical provençal village with 3500 inhabitants, lying between the Sainte Baume mountains and the mont Aurélien range. The village is ideally located for easy access to cities such as Aix en Provence, Marseille and Toulon but is sufficiently far from large tourist crowds to ensure peace and quiet.

Many archeological sites can be seen: tumuli from 650 B.C., a celto ligurian oppidum from the second century B.C., the ruins of a medieval castle and village which overlook Nans les Pins but the most significant monument in our village is the chapel of “La Miséricorde” built by the white Penitents in the 17th century.

On site, the Golf de la Sainte Baume 18-hole golf course and 6 other golf courses within a radius of 50 km.

Its pleasant and healthy climate, network of marked paths for walking, riding and cycling and its selection of restaurants will all contribute to an enjoyable stay here.
